Denver Store Manager

Dirtlabs is looking for a Store Manager to further our mission of providing “that-new-bike feel” to our 15 year customer base in the front range through top-notch suspension service.

This person will be in charge of the store operations and use our Longmont HQ as a resource to complete repairs, ensure our customers are receiving top level customer care, and meet our 2 day turnaround .

Key Responsibilities and Focus:

  1. Manage store operations.
    • Experience in shop management is a must. While GM or equivalent is not required, some management of store operations, ordering, team, etc. is required. This role will manage 1 to 2 employees and ensure our values and processes are being followed to keep our customers happy, shelves stocked, and that our values are alive and well.
  2. Suspension Repairs
    • Dirtlabs is the longest running suspension only service center in the country, and because of this our customers look up to us to provide the highest-level service available. This role requires some level of shock service knowledge in order to be able to use our resources to complete repairs of Fox, Rockshox, and DVO rear shock service as well as fork repair.
  3. Purchasing
    • With the vast amount of small parts that exist in our industry it is crucial that this individual has experience managing a special order book. This role will place weekly orders with our vendors to ensure our customers stay on the trail.

Qualifications / Benefits:

– 3+ years in a management position within the bike or auto suspension industry
– Consumer facing customer service experience
– Understanding of Google Docs
– Rides mountain bikes – this is a must. and will be handy during company trips!

Suspension Techs

$18-24 Starting

Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a newbie we’ve got a place for you. While technical work will be the focus of the new hire, the ability to communicate with customers, both in person and via the phone, is crucial. Our ideal candidate is excited about suspension’s technical aspect and enthusiastic about the ability to grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform suspension item repairs from start to finish

  • Work through and diagnose common suspension issues with service manager
  • Passion for mountain bikes is a must
  • Maintain close attention to detail and take diligent notes
  • Ability to use spreadsheets to track repair progress, special orders, etc.
  • Maintain top level customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work-space

Ideal Candidate:

You are a straight shooter and appreciate the work involved in improving the riding experience of all types of riders. Busy days don’t phase your quality of work or attitude and you thrive on a processed driven approach. You align with the Dirtlabs mission and are all about “the lifestyle” the outdoor / bike industry provides.

  • Mechanical Aptitude – you are familiar with the wrench and “how things work”
  • Attention to detail – you can identify trends within suspension components and apply knowledge learned across all you work
  • Strong communication skills – you can formulate your thoughts to customers and coworkers effectively, checking any ego at the door

Qualifications / Benefits:

  • 0 – 3 years of mechanical experience (bike specific is a plus)
  • Customer service experience
  • Understanding of Google Docs and or Microsoft Products (or similar)
  • Rides mountain bikes – this is a must. and will be handy during company trips!
  • 2 weeks paid vacation!
  • Health stipend
  • Compensation: Depends on experience.
