Spring curve refers to the amount of resistance force it takes to compress a spring throughout its stroke.

A linear spring curve indicates that the rate of resistance at which a spring (suspension component) compresses remains near constant throughout its stroke.

A progressive spring curve indicates that the rate of resistance increases (ie. ramps) the further into the stroke a spring (suspension component) is compressed.
